I received the shirt and immediately noticed the quality of the material. My opinion? Excellent quality & fit.
The side & rear mesh material does indeed allow for better cooling for those who really give a lot during those heavy workouts.
The fit was good (I purchased a medium shirt, although I normally wear a large, as this is a compression shirt and wanted to constrict the material closely to my skin) and no complaints about the seams or neck opening.
Overall IF this style of shirt (the graphics and color scheme) are for you, definitely don't be afraid to pick one up. The imitation shirts currently sold at Wal-Mart (Starter brand), at the time of this review, are a poor imitation of real Under Armour quality. Cheaper shirts = worse feel, peeling logos, poor ventilation!
REVIEW NOTES:
Why did I return the shirt? At the time of purchase all of the other styles of Under Armour medium compression shirts from before (Metal, Blitz IV, etc.) were out of stock with no restock date until October! I'm very disappointed that a major brand-name like UA cannot keep their own line of apparel, especially a popular one, in stock and available.
Ultimately I returned this shirt and purchased an older UA Metal shirt I found online somewhere else. Not by choice!
Personally I liked the fit, quality, and material of the UA Combine Bolt but not the graphics. For general use after visiting the gym I thought the graphics were a bit overdone. Just personal preference.
PROS:
-Excellent quality
-Feels good on the skin; soft material that stretches compliantly, much less "fighting" with your form like the Starter UA knock-offs
-Heat-dispersion abilities are even better than previous models
-A distinct feeling knowing that no knock-offs have the quality you have
-Very unique styling (if you like the graphics)
CONS:
-Graphics are much more obvious, less color-contrast based than past UA shirts
-Appears to be limited availibility, based on past UA stock/purchase experiences.
SUMMARY:
If you like the style, don't be afraid to pick one up. Really, a nice shirt!
NOTE:
Much like other Under Armour compression shirts, if you normally wear a LARGE, purchase a large size! The 38-40 in chest size does not guarantee a good fit. I will be using large UA shirts from here on. Also, remember that for this type of shirt a good fit goes a long way for complimenting your physique. Get the right fit to be comfortable AND look good.
